Casa A+B  es un proyecto residencial ubicado en la colonia San Angel Inn en la ciudad de México.

Con el requisito de crear dos viviendas en el mismo predio y con un solo acceso a la calle.

Se partió del concepto de contrapartes o de volumen negativo;  y a través de la operación de dislocación de un cuerpo para crear dos, sin perder la idea de que todo proviene de uno mismo.

Se optó por partir de una forma rectangular que albergara el área de desplante de las dos casas, a este cuerpo inicial se le disloca una parte, siendo este volumen dislocado el que conformaría la otra vivienda

El volumen retirado para generar la segunda vivienda se vuelve el área abierta de la primera. A través de la misma operación de dislocación y se separa un tercer cuerpo que alberga un consultorio que es parte del programa solicitado para una de las viviendas.

Teniendo así tres cuerpos que parten del mismo, una de las viviendas está en un solo nivel y vive hacia un patio interior que tiene  las mismas dimensiones de la segunda casa. Ésta última vive hacia el exterior y está elevada en tres niveles, las aperturas en fachadas siguen con la misma idea  de contrapartes.

De esta manera se crean dos casas con absoluta privacidad sin perder la idea de que todo proviene del mismo cuerpo, logrando así una relación en volumen fácil de identificar por el usuario.

Casa A+B is a residential project located in San Angel, in the south of Mexico City. The main requirement for this project was to create two houses on the same plot and with only one access from the street.

The concept is the idea of counterparts or negative volume achieved by the operation of dislocation of a volume to create two, without losing the plan that everything comes from the same body.

We decided to part from a rectangular form that would host the uproot area for both houses. From this initial body, we dislocated one part and the resulting volume is the one that conforms the other house.

The volume subtracted to generate the second house, becomes the open area of the first one. Through the same dislocating operation, a third body separates hosting an office that was part of the program required for one of the houses.

This results in three bodies which that are part of the same. We have one house only in one level open to its interior patio that has the same dimensions as the second house. The second house opens to the exterior and has three levels. The façade openings continue with the same idea of counterparts.

In this way, two houses are created with absolute privacy without losing the idea that everything comes from one same body, achieving a relation in volume that is easy to identify by the user.
