El proyecto consistía en trabajar con el espacio interior de una clínica dental ubicada en el cuarto piso de un edificio donde la estructura ya existe.

El concepto partió de la idea de  la articulación del espacio interior a través de elementos cerrados que en sí mismos contienen otro espacio interior definido.

Esto se logró  dejando la  planta libre y organizando el espacio interior con dos cuerpos definidos dentro de un todo. Estos cuerpos distribuyen el espacio y son los únicos elementos cerrados.

Concebidos como cuerpos articuladores que por programa tienen que ser cerrados contienen la recepción, e laboratorio, el área de esterilización y el baño.

Sólo en estos cuerpos se ocultan las instalaciones, son los únicos que están cubiertos con otros materiales diferentes al resto del espacio, uno hecho a base de madera y el otro a base de un material reflejante, contrastando así con el resto del espacio interior que se mantiene aparente y neutro.

Se crea así un nuevo espacio interior donde se logra una mayor amplitud y mejor iluminación además de un funcionamiento óptimo que parte de la conceptualización del programa arquitectónico.

Clinica Ortodental is a dentist clinic located in a fourth floor of an existing building, so we could only work with the interior space.

The concept comes from the idea of articulating the interior space through closed elements that contain in them other interior spaces.

This was possible leaving the whole space open and locating two defined blocks inside; these two elements distribute and organize the space and are the only closed elements. They are conceived as articulated bodies that contain the parts of the program that have to be closed such as the laboratories, sterilization areas, and bathrooms.

These bodies are the only ones that hold the installations, and the only ones that are covered with different materials from the rest of the space, one of them is made out of wood and the other one is made of a reflecting material to emphasize them and to create a contrast with the rest of the space, which is kept apparent and sober.

We created a new interior space where light and amplitude are the key elements as well as the functional space which was conceived as the materialization of their necessities.
