PROYECTO: DCPParquitectos  / CCA Centro de Colaboración Arquitectónica

El  proyecto está ubicado en la colonia Condesa, en la ciudad de México. El predio se encuentra en esquina privilegiada con un gran jardín y una casa catalogada por el INBA y el INAH que se tenía que respetar.

El proyecto consiste en diseñar un restaurante en su mayoría abierto tipo grill con bar y antro.

Teniendo como base la idea de respetar en su mayoría el jardín se pensó en una intervención muy sutil casi invisible que definiera el espacio exterior sin necesidad de construirlo.

Partiendo de ejes procedentes de la construcción existente, se trazaron líneas virtuales definiendo el espacio exterior para después materializarlas en cables, a partir de los cuales se crean cubiertas a distintas alturas que responden a las diferentes actividades.

Este espacio exterior definido se convierte en un parque que se abre a la ciudad convirtiéndolo en un espacio público donde lo artificial y lo natural convergen.

Las líneas virtuales atraviesan la casa definiendo los espacios interiores y se proyectan hasta la fachada norte de nuestro predio que da a Insurgentes. Sobre esta fachada que se propone como un muro ciego que tiene aperturas las cuales responden a estos ejes.

Se buscó darle a este parque uso las 24 horas del día y que en él fueran sucediendo diferentes actividades a lo largo del día desde el café librería por la mañana hasta el antro en la casa por la noche, siendo el parque siempre el espacio de uso y transición.

The project is located in Condesa, in Mexico City. The plot is in a privileged corner; it has a great garden and a house that must be respected. The project consisted in designing a grill restaurant mainly open to the exterior, with a bar and a disco. 

We wanted to respect the garden in the most possible way, so we thought of a subtle intervention, almost invisible that would define the exterior space without the need of constructing.

We began drawing axis coming from the existing construction which generated a series of virtual lines. These lines materialized into cables defining the exterior space. From this cables we created the roofing system at different heights responding to the different activities happening in the garden.

The exterior space becomes a park that opens to the city, creating a public space where the natural and artificial merge.

The virtual lines go through the house defining the interior space and project to the northern façade of our plot adjacent to Insurgentes. We proposed this façade as a closed wall that has some openings that respond to the axis.

We sought to give the project a 24 hour use so that different activities would occur throughout the day, from the coffee in the morning to the disco in the night, with the park as the space of use and transition.
